Iowa State Bookstore realized results immediately after sending out their first email. With their annual graduation apparel promotion, they saw an increase in sales of over 60% from the same promotion the previous year. The email promotion was such a big success that they ran out of free t-shirts that accompanied the email promotion within a week. Iowa State now uses the advanced reporting features to track exactly what campaigns and links students are clicking on. “We have found that email marketing is a more cost effective and targeted solution than print marketing,” DeLashmutt said.
